Memories in the Heart

Feel no guilt in laughter, she knows how much you care, Feel no sorrow in a smile that she's not here to share, You cannot grieve forever, she would not want you to, She'd hope that you can carry on, the way you always do, So talk about the good times and the ways you showed you cared, The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared, Let memories surround you, A word someone may say, Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day, That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here, And fills you with the feelings that she is always near, For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart, And she will live forever locked safe within your heart.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun, shine kindly here; Warm southern wind, blow softly here; Green sod above, lie light, lie light; Good night, dear heart, good night, good night.

Mark Twain

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

William Wordsworth
